So… Words cannot express the amount of confusion I feel. This is a man who is going to win the nomination for Republican Presidential candidate? Hmmm I think he spent a little too much times as a POW, might have made him a little soft in the head. From being hot headed in the senate, to flip flopping on an issue in about 47 seconds, to singing Streisand. Whats next John?
So, for the past couple weeks I have been trying to convince myself that I, without a shadow of a doubt need this new gadget. I kept ignoring all of its shortfalls, though many. The straw that broke my back was todays Ars Technica review. With slow processors, Ipod powered hard drive and horrible battery life I can’t ignore it any more. Plus with all the rumors popping up about possible Penryn powered Macbook Pros coming out in the next couple weeks, I would definitely kick myself really hard if I didn’t have the money for that bad boy. So, until the price drops or the specs get better I will pass on this beautiful toy.
This years election is the first one that I have paid much attention to. Probably due to my age and this being the first presidential election that I can vote in. Either way I took to this election with a passion for knowing the issues and knowing historical information on previous elections and candidates. What got me into this flurry of information searching was none other than the god king of the Internets himself, Ron Paul. Not often does a persons name spur so much attention from the masses. This is a person with a long shot bid for the presidency. Due to that he went all out, threw all his cards on the table and told the country whats what. Economic problems, law breaking administrations and a banking system run by the elite to control our lives. This man has said it all and it scares/confuses 90% of the people in the country. But the reason it does is because he gets all of 90 seconds to explain economics to a population of people who couldn’t spell the word if they had to. This man took the time to actually READ the constitution and realize that the Federal Reserve is not only evil but unconstitutional and the IRS is a big lie that is used to fund unneeded wars. Did I mention that these wars continue on for the benefit of the banking elite at the expense of the middle class. What does this mean for me and you? This war will not end if we continue to have elitist running our nation! Now that I got the “I love Ron Paul” off my chest onto other things… Now for the candidates that actually have a chance at ruling our lives. Lets start Republican side. Mitt Romney is like that shiny book at the book store that screams “Look at me!”. That’s basically his whole campaign. He touts that he did all these great things for Massachusetts and will bring it over to Washington. This man is from the “Private Sector”, which means he sleazed his way to the top of corporations. Do we really want a corporate sleaze-ball in the White House. He would be just as bad as the lobbyist that he says he despises. So next onto John McCain. You know, first off I want to say that in an independent poll in NH, the majority of people who voted for him thought he was against the war in Iraq. Which goes to show the lack of knowledge people the vote actually have about the candidates they vote for. This man is the epitome of war-monger. His stance is we need to “Win this war”. You know what? We’re fighting a war on terrorism, which is a war against an ideal. You don’t beat ideals. Just like the war on drugs. Its just a waste of time/money/lives. John… you have spent too much time playing army men. I think its time you take a seat with your over zealous mother and retire from politics. You can state as many times as humanly possible the names of high ranking war-monger supporters that you have to try and get support, it doesn’t help. It especially doesn’t help when you deny statements that you made weeks prior. Such as the “I don’t know much about economics” ordeal. Not sure if your just trying to cover yourself or if you simply forgot you said it. Either way its not in the best interest of our country to have someone who can’t remember what they say. Then finally there is Mike Huckabee. This man to religion is what 9/11 was to Rudy Giuliani. Its his main selling point. Besides that he just says whatever he thinks will win over the crowd. If anyone remembers the first few debates, Mike kinda just sat back and didn’t make a big stance on anything and after listening to everyone developed his own set of ideas… which seam to mimic alot of Ron Paul stances with a horrible religious overtone (Not that I am not religious, I just believe in the separation of church and state). So expect Mike to win the bible belt, there’s no stoppin’ his Jesus train. Ok so lets take a look at the Democratic side. We’re down to two choices, Obama and Hillary. Obama, who reminds me of The Rock from WWE, with his strong speaking power is looking for “change”….but wait. Isn’t that what Hillary wants too? From the last Democratic debate you would think they have the same stance on everything. Which isn’t too far off. Hilliary comes for elitist roots and would more than likely cause the end of the world as we know it the second she steps in office, or Obama who being the first black president would scare half the world with that asset alone. I think I know who’s the better candidate right there. I would love to get into specifics on what they stand for but its so hard to tell the difference… as far as I can gander, they are both for withdrawal of troops on a timetable. They are both for universal health-care, they are both more than likely going to tax the hell out of the middle and lower class. Hey! Who knows, they might run as a ticket. Wouldn’t that be scary? So in summary, the Republicans are a bunch of crazy people looking to pick up the pieces of a failed Bush administration, the Democrats will destroy the world and Ron Paul is a god among men.
Looks like there’s going to be quite a show on Feb 10th. The closest scientology location I can think of is in downtown Boston…. Maybe I’ll take the train up to get some video of the action and post it up here.
For those who have no idea what this is or where its from. This is the opening dance from the anime Lucky Star performed by a dance group called Zombies. These guys are amazing! If you want to compare the actual opening to this one you can see it at http://youtube.com/watch?v=q_RPZcSZWJo
Well, first off I should say welcome! If you found your way to this site than I guess I’m doing something right. This blog is going to be the culmination of years of nerdiness and gaming. I am what many call the typical “nerd”. I play video games… and believe me, we will get into which ones. I watch anime… and again we will get into those as well. I don’t know how to cook so I live on junk/fast food. I currently have 4 computers in my room alone so I guess I kinda like tech as well. So here is my big hello! Hope you enjoy your stay here. Soon enough we will be best friends!
